Musically speaking...
I just loved Los Pinguos, Amanda Shaw & The Cute Guys, Trombone Shorty, and Red Skunk Jipzee Swing Band. As you can tell, the upbeat bands are always a highlight for me. I would love to see a reggae band next year because Resination at the Barn Dance in 2008 was THE BEST! Well, The Dentures & Rosie Ledet were great for a barn dance too!
Also, I felt that The Subdudes were great- but place poorly in the line-up. After Trombone Shorty and the Mardi Gras parade, the energy was way up. The Subdudes were a little too mellow (or subdued) for a closing band on Saturday night before the barn dance (just my opinion though). Artists I'd love to see next year are Zongo All-Stars [www.zongoallstars.com];, Sambada [www.sambada.com] and The Young Dubliners [youngdubliners.com]. Paul Thorn would also be great to have again!
