Electricity and Robot Lab

Play with lightning machines, static charges, and the electron itself as you uncover the mysteries of electricity! Wire up electrical circuits and homemade sensors as you construct a mechanized zooming, hopping, swimming, dancing robot from junk that you can take home. (Price: $15)

Rocket Workshop

Blast your imagination with this super-popular class on oxidation, combustion, and rocketry! Kids learn about chemical reactions, hybrid and solid-state rocketry, and the myths about oxygen. Students launch one of seven different rocket designs (age appropriate) by the end of the class. (Price: $15)

Astrophysics Demonstration

Take an intergalactic tour of the universe without leaving your seat! Discover massive black holes, flaming neutron stars, and why the sun regularly burps and spits fireballs into space. Learn how stars form, why they explode, and just how far away our nearest neighbor is in this wide galaxy we call home. Includes star gazing through telescopes. Saturday night at sunset. (FREE)

Stories Around the Campfire

A story, a story - travel the world on a web of story woven with the threads of tales from many lands. Give your mind and heart a journey of hope, love and wonder. Traditional storyteller, Zette Harbour weaves this cloth of stories for the delight of all ages.

Zette Harbour is a traditional storyteller who has shared and taught story for nearly 20 years. Drawing from the abundant reservoir of multicultural folktales, Zette has been a featured performer at festivals whose stories have been aired on NPR, KCBX and KVEC. She has been an Artist-In-Residence with the Children's Creative Project and her solo performance, Full Moon Stories & Beach Walk, was reviewed by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Mark Wilder Juggling Workshop

Juggling and unicycling dynamo Mark Wilder discovered his knack for entertaining large audiences of all ages during his days as a college mascot for Evergreen State College in Washington.

Now a resident of Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County, he is one of the most popular attractions at the world-famous San Luis Obispo Thursday evening Farmers’ Market, and also offers live entertainment for private parties, festivals, school carnivals, and other events.

Wilder passionately believes that juggling and other circus arts are powerful outlets for creative, physical and social development for children, and he was recognized by the City of San Luis Obispo in February 2011 for his outstanding efforts to teach over 150 elementary school youth how to juggle and unicycle.

To find out more about Mark Wilder and his plans for a San Luis Obispo circus arts program, contact him at (530) 902-3293 or WilderJuggler@Gmail.com, or find him on Facebook.
