Singer-Songwriter Mark Adams is a California native who has been writing and recording original music for 20 years. Songs from last year’s release, Switcheroo, can be heard regularly on KCBX, and he will have a brand new full-length record debuting this year at Live Oak 2018.
The band delivers laid back and interwoven accompaniment to a series of unique narratives dealing largely with the growing pains of incoming wealth, boom-town exploitation and the resulting nostalgic resistance. There aren’t a lot of flashy solos or vocal gymnastics, rather a tapestry of complimentary melodic coloring. Among other heartfelt narratives, Adams writes about his hometown of Templeton, California, which neighbors the exploding wine region of Paso Robles where, it just so happens, Adams owns and operates the small but successful cult vineyard and winery called Ledge Vineyards.
