Americana Roots
The award-winning Noach Tangeras Band is an Americana roots band with flavors of folk, country, rock, and blues. They have been lauded locally, having won first place in the Country/Americana category and second place in best songwriting at the 2016 New Times Music Awards with their single release “Big Sur.” The band received 2nd place in blues/R&B category of the New Times Music Awards in 2015 for “Walking Out Your Door.” The lead vocalist, songwriter and rhythm guitarist, Noach Tangeras, is accompanied by Rachel Santa Cruz on harmonies, keyboard and light percussion; Adam McAlexander on lead guitar; Scott Marlin on the fiddle; Jeremy Lemen on bass; and Luis Monge on drums. The band’s influences include Janis Joplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dolly Parton, and Grace Slick.
