Known as a free-wheeling folkie with a quick wit and a big heart, Nashville-based troubadour Steve Poltz has won a cult-like national following including musicians, festival-goers, and other music fans. His fun, often-wacky live performances feature complex storytelling along with his songs.
A nonstop geyser of creativity, Poltz has co-written tunes with Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Oliver Wood and many others, including a collaboration with singer Jewel that first vaulted him into the national spotlight. He was a founding member of indie-rock band the Rugburns, winning San Diego’s “Most Influential Artist of the Decade” award.
This consummate performer often spends as many as 300 days a year on the road, wowing his audiences with his flawless guitar work and witty, light-hearted tunes.
