Jody Mulgrew & Grey Bear

  • Live Oak Music Festival 4100 Vachell Lane San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401 United States (map)

Folk crooner Jody Mulgrew has been kicking around the coast of California for the better part of twenty years, first with the Johnny Starlings, and for his last five albums as a solo artist.

He has garnered recognitions such as a 2012 Award of Excellence from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the 2022 New Times Music Award for Best Songwriter with his song “Phony Gibson”, the first single off of his new album Toyota Dolphin. Toyota Dolphin is drawing praise from fans and critics alike, and features the superb instrumental contributions of friend and long-time collaborator Grey Bear.

Grey Bear is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer who has toured and recorded internationally. He was born and raised, and makes his home in the Santa Ynez Valley. When not performing, he can be found mentoring, inspiring, and making albums for and with the next generation of home-grown artists.
