Indie Singer-Songwriter

Max MacLaury paved a path as a vocalist and songwriter in Ventura County where he grew up. From playing bass guitar in highschool indie punk bands to writing original folk/ blues songs, he began creating his own sound. Once he found his voice he was described as “a crooner with a folk guitar.” After years of playing solo, he teamed up with a 4 piece band on the Central Coast consisting of Chris Stephens on guitar, Ryan House on drums and Mike Jercich on bass. Max and the band have an energy and tone that is incomparable. The lyrics have a relatable honesty. The music is soulful, bluesy, passionate and reminiscent of the Tulsa Sound. You can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and energy while listening to the songs.
