Named the best indie band and the best folk band at SXSW in Austin, Wild Child has a carefree musical vibe of friends gathering on the front porch for a fun time. Founders Kelsey Wilson (lead vocals and violin) and Alexander Beggins (lead vocals and baritone ukulele) met touring as backup musicians with a Danish indie band, and started writing songs together in the van’s backseat in 2011. Wild Child takes their audiences on an unforgettable joyride with their groove-laden, whimsical twang. Their years of relentless touring include a recent tour with San Luis Obispo-based band Próxima Parada. Band members include Sadie Wolfe, cello; Tyler Osmond, bass; Matt Bradshaw, keyboards and trumpet; Cody Ackors, guitar and trombone; and Tom Myers, drums.
