Silent Auction & Quilt Raffle

The Live Oak Music Festival is a major fundraiser for KCBX Public Radio. As part of our fundraising effort, ArtWalk artists, community members, and local businesses donate unique items for our Silent Auction and Raffle.

Silent Auction

This year, we’re excited to include this beautiful, custom-made acoustic guitar, created by master luthier Gary Zamis, as part of our silent auction.

Gary is a dedicated Live Oakie and has donated this one-of-a-kind work of art to support our festival and Public Radio KCBX.

About the Artist

Gary Zamis has been building acoustic guitars for over twenty years. He learned the craft by studying under renowned luthier Robbie O’Brien of Parker, Colorado, who mastered the craft working with traditional classical guitar builders while living in Brazil.

“I really enjoy being able to combine my passion for crafting custom guitars with the ability to contribute to a worthy cause, such as KCBX and the Live Oak Music Festival,” Gary said.

Gary has built guitars to help raise funds for these other good causes:

—California AIDS/Life Cycle
—Bradley’s House, an addiction recovery facility for musicians founded by the family of Bradley Nowell, the late frontman of Sublime
—Festival in the Clouds in Alma, Colorado
—Musicians for California Wildfire Relief, a benefit concert
