This acclaimed 10-piece soul band from Santa Cruz leaves fans clamoring for more, with their fast-paced vintage vibe that makes old songs sound new. The Inciters formed in 1995, mastering the 1960s-era Northern Soul sound with its roots in northern England, inspired by Stax and Motown greats but with a stronger back beat. Bringing the house down from L.A. to Chicago and all across Europe, the band broke up after a successful ten-year run, re-forming in 2009 with some new faces after massive demand from their European fans. With three strong female vocalists and a full horn section, the Inciters enthusiastically create a layered sound that features both original tunes and obscure soul songs from the past.
